How to get here

pos-na-erthete-mainIn about three and a half hours from Thessaloniki, at a distance of 330 km, taking Egnatia road, you will arrive to Alexandroupolis, which is about 65 km (50 minutes) far from Dadia, where the Information Center and the offices of the National park Management Body are located.
Alexandroupolis may also be reached by train, plane, KTEL (bus service), or even by ship from Samothrace and Athens.

Soufli may be reached by KTEL (bus service) or train from Alexandroupolis and then you shall take the bus from Soufli to Dadia.

 

Tourist information

Dadia is 65 km north of Alexandroupolis and the route will take you about an hour by car. If you prefer public transportation, the buses run regularly while there is a railway connection from Alexandroupolis to Soufli.
Alexandroupolis is at a distance of ca 850 km from Athens and 330 km from Thessaloniki. The route will take you 10 hours from Athens and 3.5 hours from Thessaloniki by car.

 

GETTING HERE BY KTEL (BUS SERVICE)

Buses from Athens to Alexandroupolis run daily and the trip duration is about 11 hours. From Thessaloniki, six buses run daily and the trip lasts 5 hours.

 

GETTING HERE BY TRAIN

Several trains run daily from Athens to Alexandroupolis. You may choose between the simple passenger train (16 hours) and intercity network (12 hours). The trip duration from Thessaloniki is approximately 6 hours with the intercity and 8 hours with the simple passenger train.

 

GETTING HERE BY ΑIRPLANE

The quickest and easiest way to reach Alexandroupolis from Athens is by airplane. There are several daily scheduled flights.

 

GETTING HERE BY SHIP

Daily lines connect the port of Alexandroupolis to Samothrace.

 

CONNECTION TO NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES

Daily train and private bus routes connect the area to Turkey and Bulgaria.
